Thank you for your interest in learning more about First Baptist Church, Bradenton.
At the end of each worship service, we give an “invitation” - opportunity for people to respond. During this time, worship participants desiring a relationship with Jesus Christ, or desiring to join First Baptist may come to the front of the worship center where a minister of the church will greet them. They will then be escorted to a private reception area where they will have a chance to learn more about a relationship with Jesus Christ and about church membership. Other alternatives include coming to the reception area after any service and speaking with a decision counselor there, or calling the church office 941-746-2149 and scheduling an appointment with one of our ministerial staff.
To become a member of First Baptist, an individual must first be a Christian who has been scripturally baptized (“believers’ baptism”). A baptized believer may join by a “statement” of his or her faith or by moving his or her membership (“letter”) from another Baptist church. A believer who has not yet followed Jesus’ example in scriptural baptism may discuss it with one of the decision counselors or schedule a meeting with one of our ministers.
