“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
Colossians 3:16
My philosophy of worship compels me to offer a blended worship experience. I've come to the conclusion that it's really not very important how we worship, but that we worship . . . God made us with a need for worship. We need to understand that it's not at all about us, but it's all about Him, always.
I believe in families worshiping together. Worship should be an experience that children, parents and grandparents can share.
I also believe in excellence in the choir and instrumentalists. But I don't believe they are performers . . . they are leaders in worship, and when we serve God, we need to give Him our best.
Music stirs the emotions. God made us that way. And those emotions can draw us into an intimate encounter with Him. My desire as Minister Through Music is that our congregation will truly worship during every service.
