The Bradenton Passion Play, having completed its 23rd year, is our annual pageant celebrating the last week of Jesus’ earthly ministry. It begins with the triumphal entry into Jerusalem and ends with the ascension. Our choir, orchestra and cast begin preparations several months in advance to present to the community this musical and dramatic presentation. Involving over 200 people, there are many areas of service including the choir, orchestra, cast, carpenters, sound and lighting technicians, make-up artists, ticket distributors, ushers and seamstresses. Liberty Celebration is a combination of music, drama and visual media, celebrating our wonderful country, freedoms, and Christian heritage. We produce Liberty Celebration to celebrate Independence Day every 2nd or 3rd year.

This is a ticketed event. For information, call 941-746-2149 or e-mail music@fbcbradenton.org. There is no charge but a freewill offering will be taken. A pre-show featuring the Wares Creek Boys and our ensembles will begin approximately 1 hour before the event, so come early for a good seat.  

The Sounds of Christmas, in its 26th year, is our annual celebration of the birth of Christ. Our choir, orchestra and cast begin preparing this musical-drama in the early fall. Although our script is usually centered around a contemporary story, our program always includes one scene that is the Biblical nativity story. It involves about 200 people, including choir, cast, and orchestra, as well as backstage hands, ushers, seamstresses, and many other helpers. Tickets for our 2008 Sounds of Christmas will be available to the public on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The dates and times for this year’s presentations are:

Dec. 4 - 7:30 PM
Dec. 5 - 7:30 PM
Dec. 6 - 3:30 PM
Dec. 7 - 7:00 PM

Carols, candles, and the timeless Christmas story. What a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas Eve with your family! No tickets required – this is a worship service. Join us in our main worship center at 5:30 on Christmas Eve.
