Our Banner Ministry is relatively new, but they have already turned out a number of visually striking banners that are used in our special events and in our regular worship services. These beautiful banners require very little sewing - just a good eye, a steady hand and lots of patience! The purpose of this ministry is to visually enhance the worship experience.

While First Baptist Church has a history of having outstanding Musical-Dramas, our drama ministry is not limited to our Seasonal Musical Events. Small dramatic vignettes may be woven into the sermons, or appear before the worship begins, as a promotional tool for upcoming events. Actors and actresses of all ages are encouraged to become involved in a ministry that is not only fun, but provides an interesting change in the services.

The contemporary church utilizes electronic technology in ever increasing applications. Sound technology continues to advance, as well as stage lighting, and visual media that is projected on the large screens at the front of the auditorium.

At First Baptist, we need a number of technicians to control our audio, lighting and visual media in our four worship and teaching areas.

Our own Wares Creek Boys have been singing together since 1984. The members of the group are Jimmie Vann (Tenor), Craig Stanley (Lead), Jeff Pilson (Baritone), and Steve Rowland (Bass). Although the Wares Creek Boys are best known for their Southern Gospel style, their concerts include a varied program of inspirational and traditional sacred selections. They have also appeared throughout the community with their varied repertoire of Barbershop, Country, Christmas and Patriotic music.

Active in the Music Ministry of First Baptist Church of Bradenton (located near Wares Creek), the Wares Creek Boys are always eager to share their message at other churches, banquets, conferences and revival services.

The Wares Creek Boys have two CD’s: Happy Rhythm (southern gospel) and Merry Christmas (Christmas).
