First Baptist Church officially formed a Senior Adult ministry group in 1985. The group exists to encourage and care for one another in all kinds of ministries – and to provide lots of Christian fellowship.

We selected the name “Happy Hearts” for our group, based on Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine . . . “

We meet on the second Thursday of each month. We start at 10:00 AM with a special program, followed by a Pot Luck luncheon. Sometimes we meet at a local restaurant.

Throughout the year, we enjoy many trips! Our trips can be as near as Palmetto, or as far away as the Holy Land! We deliberately plan our trips to include a variety of short or long and near or far, to accommodate the varied interests and abilities in our group.
